The Public Plate is the social franchising network that makes Public Restaurants possible at scale.

It offers trusted local capital that supports new franchisees, a ready-made supply chain built with local food producers and central kitchen with capacity to serve other public catering needs, a replicable model that interested parties in new locations can experience in person and an opportunity for local and national investors to support social and economic impact at scale

Years of hands-on hospitality

The Public Plate was founded by Carly Trisk-Grove and is being built with a growing group of collaborators, advisors and supporters who believe everyday eating can play a bigger role in public life.

Carly’s background is in restaurants. She has founded and run three, including Café in the Park, and was a founder member of the Sustainable Restaurant Association. Alongside practical experience, she holds an MSc in Food Policy and is a B Leader with B Corp, bringing together hands-on hospitality, systems thinking and a commitment to business as a force for good.

Together, we’re working to turn the idea of Public Restaurants into a practical, scalable reality for town centres across the UK.
